Dental Implant Procedure 

 Dental implants serve as sophisticated metal anchors, expertly designed to function as substitutes for natural tooth roots. They are surgically embedded with precision into the jawbone. Upon these implants, small yet sturdy posts are affixed, which extend above the gum line. These posts act as secure and unwavering foundations upon which artificial replacement teeth are mounted, ensuring a restoration that is as functional as it is aesthetic. 

The journey to a renewed smile with dental implants typically unfolds over two key surgical stages. Initially, the implants are meticulously positioned within your jawbone. In the following three to six months, as you heal beneath the gentle concealment of your gums, the implants are fusing with your jawbone, a process known as osseointegration. Throughout this period, you can comfortably wear temporary dentures and adhere to a soft diet.

Simultaneously, your restorative dentist is carefully planning and crafting your final bridgework or denture, which promises to enhance both the functionality and the aesthetics of your smile.

Once the implants have successfully integrated with the jawbone, the second phase commences. The surgeon delicately exposes the implants and affixes a small healing collar. This sets the stage for Dr. Ghalloub to begin the creation of your new teeth, starting with precise impressions and followed by the attachment of posts or other connectors to the implants. Your bespoke replacement teeth will then be fabricated to attach to these posts.

Typically, the entire process spans six to eight months, with most patients reporting minimal to no interference with their everyday activities, allowing for a smooth transition towards a full and confident smile.
